英文自薦信寫作格式如下：
A：首先是個人資料部分(PERSONALDATA)
包括求職者的姓名、性別、出生年月等，與中文簡歷大體一致。
B：第二部分為教育背景(EDUCATION)
必須注意在英文簡歷中，求職者受教育的時間排列順序與中文簡歷中的時間排列順序正好相反，即是從求職者的最高教育層次寫起，至于低至何時，則無具體規定，可根據個人實際情況安排。另外，大多數外企對英語(或其他語種)及計算機水平都有一定的要求，個人的語言水平和計算機能力應該在此單列說明。

D：第四部分為所獲獎勵和作品(PRICE&PUBICATION)
將自己所獲獎項以及發表過的作品列舉一二，可以很好的證實自己的工作能力和取得的成績。
E：第五部分為自己感興趣的領域(INTRESTEDFIELD)
將自己的工作意愿展示給雇主，對于大多數求職者(尤其是搞技術或研究工作的求職者)必不可少。同時，隨著分工越來越細，將工作能力與工作興趣相結合，不僅是求職者的意愿，對雇主來講，也同樣具有積極的意義。
