寫信人的姓名和成文日期應該寫在求職信的右下方。姓名寫在上面，成文日期寫在姓名下面。姓名前面不必加任何謙稱的限定語，以免有阿諛之感，或讓對方輕看你的能力。成文日期要年、月、日俱全。

求職信開頭
首先告訴對方你是在那里得知應聘信息以及所要應聘職位的名稱，如：

(2)with reference to your advertisement in(媒體名稱)for(職位名稱)，i respectfully offer myself for the post.
自我介紹
通常在這段里介紹你的工作經驗，要特別注意的，和所應聘職位無關經歷盡量不要，如：
(1)i have been serving for over(數字)years in(以前供職單位).
(2)i have had(數字)years''experience with(以前供職單位)as a(以前職務).
說明原因
一是離職原因，
二是申請新職位的原因，如：
(1)my reason for leaving my present employer is that i wish to get into the(申請職位的性質，如：advertising)business.
(2)i left the office on account of the discontinuance of the business.
證明能力——突出個人能力
非重重要，因為這不僅能體現你的個人能力，更能直接告訴公司你能為公司做什么事情，能給公司帶來什么，這點可以說是直接關系到求職的成功率，但是也要一定要用最少的文字表達最多的意思。和所應聘職位無關的能力(包括證書、資格等)，堅決刪掉，如：
(1)i have received a special english education(你的專業(yè))，and have a fair command of japanese(你的副業(yè)).in addition，i know a little french.
(2)during my education，i have grasped the principals of my major and skills of practice. not only have i passed tem-8(你所通過的水平測試或其它職業(yè)技能考核)，but more important i can communicate with others freely in english(你個人的能力，尤其是強項).my ability to write and speak english is out of question.
