英文求職信寫作須知
1.語言表達要簡潔明了，避免使用太多的專業術語和過分復雜的句子。一方面用人單位不會在一份簡歷上花費太多的時間;另外一個方面，簡潔的語言表述也能體現出你珍惜他人的時間。
2.在求職信的第一個段落當中應該明確地告訴對方你是在何家媒體看到應聘廣告以及所要應聘職位的名稱，例如Your advertisement for (職位名稱)a Network Maintenance Engineer in (媒體名稱)the April 10 Student Daily interested me。這樣有助于對方了解招聘信息的有效傳播途徑。
3.語言客觀實際。英文求職信中應避免自己的主觀判斷性的語言和評論性的話語，不要過分渲染自我尤其不要說出與事實不符的能力或特性來。為了避免過多的主觀性描述，你可以在自己的簡歷當中用客觀的數字和引述別人的話語來描述自己的實際情況。例如：I have passed CET-6 with a high mark of 96.
4.重視開頭、結尾。在求職信的結尾，我們通常要提及關于希望得到面試的事情。因此，結尾一樣要引起重視。在表達自己的這樣的意愿的時候，切忌軟弱、羞怯的表達方式，例如：If you think I can fill the position after you have read my letter, I shall be glad to talk with you。
5.表現個人特色。求職的信件要具個人特色、親切且能體現出專業水平。切不可過于隨意，也不能拘泥于格式——商業信函應該是一種既正式、又非正式的文體。句子結構和長度應富于變化，使閱信人總保持興趣。內容、語氣、用詞的選擇和對希望的表達要積極，應該充分顯示出你是一個樂觀、有責任心、有創造力和通情達理的人。
另外，還有一些內容雖然不屬于求職信的一部分，但是也不能忽視，比如紙張的選用，一般采用品質優良的A4打印紙，正文用打印機打印出來。信件的結尾處簽名必須是自己的手寫簽名。
